Rescue crews save victim who fell at a Fort Collins hiking area

Crews with the Poudre Fire Authority rescued a victim who fell from Duncan’s Ridge in Fort Collins on Friday afternoon.

According to an X post from the Poudre Fire Authority, crews were dispatched at 1:50 p.m. to reports of someone falling from Duncan’s Ridge. Responders arrived at the scene at 1:55 p.m. The patient reportedly fell at 1:45 p.m.

Rescue crews set up a rope system to execute a high angle rescue and were able to get the patient to the road. The patient was then taken to a local hospital by Lifeline after 3 p.m…
