Longtime Greeley Pizza Favorite Closing at the End of 2025

Northern Colorado is about to lose yet another iconic restaurant at the end of 2025. As we all know, the food landscape is ever-changing in Colorado. New restaurants open, some restaurants close.

A Personal Connection to a Greeley Staple

However, we all cannot help but feel a personal connection to some of these restaurants closing where we may have grown up eating at and sharing special milestones in life while enjoying a meal.

The news was broken to fans of a Northern Colorado pizzeria that has been in business for nearly four decades that it will close its doors for good at the end of December. Roma Restaurant took to Facebook on Friday, December 5, to say this:

It is with heavy hearts — and after a great deal of careful consideration, especially for our hardworking staff — that we announce The Original Roma off of 16th will be closing at the end of the month. Our last day of service will be December 30th.

Roma said that a lot of effort has gone into the restaurant, trying to make things work with the current conditions in Greeley and ongoing construction. The restaurant also said that it has been battling the City of Greeley for various reasons, including liquor enforcement challenges, and customers and staff constantly getting parking tickets.

A Final Invitation to Patrons

The owners of Roma Restaurant hope that over the remainder of the month, patrons of Roma will stop by and raise one last Bazooka, and enjoy one last hothouse pizza or Caroli, while making a few final memories…
