People who decorate their bodies with tattoos, scars and piercings can count on more stringent health standards in Weld County after new rules went into effect.
The Weld County Board of Commissioners revised the county’s body art health safety requirements, according to a news release on November 24.
The new changes set procedures for equipment sterilization, testing and safety standards for tattooing, piercing and other body art practices, including branding and scarring.
The new ordinance also creates new electronic record-keeping standards for body art providers in Weld County, including a better definition library meant to improve communication between regulatory health authorities and body art businesses…
