DENVER (KDVR) — A Greeley police officer reportedly shot at a man while responding to a call for a burglary in progress on 16th Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response team, the incident took place in the 2800 block of 16th Avenue at about 3:45 p.m. The team said that as officers approached the location, the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Manuel Cazares, “opened the front door and allegedly pointed a weapon at an officer.”

The team said that the officer shot at Cazares, who was not hit. Cazares reportedly retreated into the residence at that point, and officers ordered him to exit, which he did.
After that, the 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team said that Cazares stopped following orders, and he was shot with “a less-than-lethal munition” and apprehended without further incidents…
