Missing cattle cases in northern Colorado on the rise

WELD COUNTY, Colo. — Ranchers across Weld County have reported an increasing number of missing cattle, prompting state officials to investigate.

Todd Inglee, brand commissioner for the Colorado Board of Stock Inspection, said his office has received reports of 23 head of cattle either missing or stolen from seven producers, all in the same region.

“That is unusual, when you have a cluster of activity in that relatively small part of the state,” Inglee said. “That’s a livestock producer’s livelihood. So absolutely, they need to be concerned.”…
