DENVER (KDVR) — A victim was able to defend herself and stab a suspect with his own knife while being attacked at a Loveland tanning salon earlier this week, according to an affidavit filed Wednesday.
The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Kyle Matthew Behrens, entered Endless Summer Tanning on North Madison Avenue at approximately 6:42 p.m. and allegedly immediately began attacking a 22-year-old store employee with a framing hammer, according to the affidavit.

The store employee said the alleged attack was unprovoked and that she had never met or seen Behrens before. The store employee also said Behrens struck her more than 15 times on the top of her head with the hammer.
