A team from the Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary Club has returned from the Ecuadorian Amazon after successfully installing a state-of-the-art WallSpring Safe Water System for the Achuar community of Kutsutkao. This project marks the first time residents of this remote rainforest village have had access to a reliable source of safe, clean, potable water.
The project was part of a Rotary International Global Grant initiative supported by four Rotary Clubs in the United States and one in Puyo, Ecuador, working alongside Innovative Water Technologies™, Inc. (IWT), Fundación Mente, and Maketai. The installation team included local Rotarians Jean Rissmiller, Paul and Teresa Mueller, and John Minier, who traveled with Jack Barker, founder and CEO of IWT and inventor of the WallSpring system.
