A child died in a four-vehicle crash in Loveland, Colorado, on Tuesday, Dec. 16, according to a Colorado State Patrol (CSP) news release obtained by the publication.
The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. local time on the northbound lanes of I-25, CSP said. A box truck, a 2018 Lexus GX, a 2022 Kia Telluride and a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado towing a trailer were involved.
Investigators described the collision as a “secondary crash” that occurred after a medical emergency led one vehicle to pull over to the shoulder to receive emergency medicalattention.
