Poudre Fire battling ‘multi-alarm’ wildfire on the west edge of Fort Collins

DENVER — Firefighters in Fort Collins are battling what they’re describing as a “multi-alarm” wildfire on the west edge of town Thursday morning.

Fire officials from the Poudre Fire Authority along with other agencies reported the blaze shortly before a quarter after 10 a.m. via social media.

The fire is burning at the base of the foothills just east of the northern part of Horsetooth Reservoir.

No additional information about the fire was immediately released, including an approximate size of the blaze or information about damage to property or life. Fire officials said more information would be released at a later time…
