82-Year-Old Man Dies After Four-Vehicle Crash in Greeley With City Bus

On Tuesday December 16, there was a four-vehicle accident that occurred with a city bus that resulted in the death of an 82-year-old man from Kersey, whose identity has not yet been publicly released. Greeley Police Department officers responded to the incident at about 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday near the 4400 block of 10th Street. The 60-year-old City of Greeley employee and bus driver of the Greeley Evans Transit (GET) bus suffered a minor injury, was treated, and released from the hospital. No one else in the other vehicles or onboard the bus were reportedly injured in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, but the press release from the Greeley Police Department said the “early investigation indicates the Trailblazer driver was travelling too fast for conditions and following too closely.” The Trailblazer was driven by the now-deceased 82-year-old man. The Trailblazer struck the rear of a GMC Yukon, which collided with the bus and a Nissan Altima. The Trailblazer driver was transported to a local hospital after the accident, but died on December 17 due to his injuries…
