More Boulder County shoppers turn to thrift stores due to social media trends, financial strain

Longmont resident Sophie Davis, 23, goes to thrift stores about once a week to furnish her new home and find clothing on a budget.

She and her partner moved out of an apartment and into a home to prepare for the arrival of their baby girl, who is now 3 months old.

“If I need some more pants, because nothing fits me after having a baby, I can spend $5 on a pair as opposed to getting a whole new wardrobe where every piece is like 60 bucks,” Davis said…
