The Peak-to-Peak concert series is pleased to present Winter Winds featuring the Highland Brass quintet and the Pinehaven Clarinet Ensemble. The concert will be held Saturday, January 24th at 2 p.m. at the Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church, 2000 Ptarmigan Trail. The Peak-to-Peak concert series is sponsored by the Oratorio Society of Estes Park. The concert is free (though donations are appreciated), and a reception to meet the performers will follow. The music will be lively and varied, ranging from classical to folk, jazz, and movie favorites!
The Highland Brass, Estes Park’s own brass quintet, has been performing in concerts and special events in Estes Park and surrounding communities for more than 30 years.
All quintet members perform with the Estes Park Village Band and other performing ensembles in the Estes Park area and along the Front Range of Colorado. Members of the Highland Brass are: Dave Scott, trumpet and flugelhorn; Neil Johnson, trumpet and flugelhorn; Jerry Brubaker, horn; Curtis Fox, trombone; Chuck Varilek, tuba; and Mark Vasel, percussion.
