A Facebook user is suing the town of Kersey for blocking him and deleting his comment

DENVER — A man who commented on the town of Kersey’s Facebook page in November, then saw his comment deleted and was blocked from the page is suing the Weld County town for violating his First Amendment right to free speech.

Jered Morgan, who goes by Lucky 225 on Facebook, is a private investigator. Morgan said he began to take a deeper look at the town after reporting from Steve On Your Side questioned the town’s decision to issue $340 fines for photo radar citations, despite the town’s own ordinance which at the time called all fines for photo radar citations to be capped at $40 or $80 in school or construction zones.

Morgan said he looked into Kersey’s police chief, Jonathan Lange, in particular, after the chief was featured in a social media video on the town’s Facebook page defending the camera…
