Colorado State transfer offensive lineman Christian Martin has committed to Illinois following an official visit to Champaign this week. He had planned a visit to Michigan State as well.
Martin is the second offensive line transfer commitment for the Illini, joining Wisconsin center Jake Renfro.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pound rising redshirt junior has two years of eligibility remaining. Martin started all 12 games this season for Colorado State, which fired head coach Jay Norvell following a 2-5 start to a season that ended with a 2-10 record. Martin had a 55.4 PFF grade this season, allowing 41 pressures and 2.0 sacks in 490 pass-block snaps…
