While Coloradans enjoy supporting small businesses and dining at local eateries, there’s something about a longtime favorite chain returning after so many years. That’s the case with Black-Eyed Pea coming back to Fort Collins after over a dozen years. Generations have enjoyed Black-Eyed Pea; with them back in The Choice City, further generations can as well.

In 2021, after nearly 30 years, Outback Steakhouse shut down its Fort Collins location along Harmony Road near Lemay. Five years after that, an Australian steakhouse became a new Black-Eyed Pea. Gauging by the amount of people that I saw when I visited, the place has definitely been missed. Once I sat and ordered a chicken fried steak, I knew that I was one of those who’d missed them.

It must have been convenient for Black-Eyed Pea when they heard that Outback Steakhouse had left; the building had a great location, was big and had decent parking. I…..
