19-Year-Old Woman Died After Crossing Highway 34 in Greeley, Struck By Two Vehicles

A 19-year-old woman pedestrian died after she was hit by a Chevrolet Blazer and Chevrolet Traverse while crossing near the 5500 block of Highway 34 in Greeley on January 5. The Greeley Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 5:50 p.m. The investigation is ongoing, but charges against the drivers are not anticipated.

The woman was transported to the North Colorado Medical Center and was pronounced dead after first responders initiated life-saving measures on the scene of the accident. The victim was attempting to cross the highway in an area that contained no crosswalk and was hit by the driver’s side of the Blazer, driven by a 54-year-old male. The force of the impact sent the victim into the next lane of traffic where she was hit by the Traverse, driven by a 37-year-old woman…
