Mead cheer wins bid to nationals

The energy was undeniable a couple weeks ago as Mead High School’s cheer team delivered one of their strongest performances ever—one strong enough to earn them a bid to nationals.

Competing against many talented schools, Mead cheer brought a level of difficulty, spirit, and pride that set them apart from every other team. This year, Mead had two routines: one traditional and one game day. Usually, they only have one routine, but they put in the work so they could have a higher chance at earning an official spot at nationals.

Mead cheer also brought a new member to their coaching staff this year: Stephanie Robins. Robins was brought onto the team as an assistant coach. Several of the cheer leaders, specifically Megan Steiner (‘27) and Bella Denicholas (‘28) highlighted the fact that Robins has helped them tremendously on stunting and tumbling…
