Northern Colorado has nearly 1,000,000 residents, all of which have dreams and aspirations for themselves in 2026. The area, in general, has more than a few things that folks can look forward to as to brightening up Northern Colorado, making things easier, and setting the stage for the future.
As the area continues to grow through the years, with more residents moving in, the area needs to adjust. 2025 saw the start of a few projects that will take NoCo into the future, with infrastructure projects and adding to helping the growth of our area’s youth. 2025 also saw the beginning of new places to eat/have fun breaking ground. 2026 will see more than a few places open, and more than a few projects come to completion.
What Are Some Things to Look Forward to in 2026 Around Northern Colorado?
- Trilby and College Will Reopen: It was at the beginning of July in 2025 that the City of Fort Collins began working on the intersection of Trilby Road and College Avenue; that project is slated for completion in the spring of 2026.
- The G.O.A.T. Sport Bar Will Open Windsor Location: 2026 will mark five years since The G.O.A.T. Sports Bar opened in Greeley and will mark the opening of their second location, located in southwest Windsor.
- The Ranch Event Lawn Expansion: It was in the summer of 2025 that The Ranch announced plans for its Phase II expansion. 2026 will see the first of planned projects finish with the Event Lawn becoming a 21-acre flexible outdoor destination for festivals, concerts, the Larimer County Fair and more.
- The Taste of Fort Collins 2026: The summer of 2026 will feature the 30th Taste of Fort Collins at Washington Park. With a new time frame (to be announced,) popular national acts, talented local acts and plenty of food/drinks/fun.
- Raising Cane’s Opening in Loveland: In the spring of 2025, it was announced Loveland would get a Raising Cane’s near I-25 along Eisenhower Boulevard. The restaurant should begin making traffic a hassle in the spring of 2026.
- Bass Pro Shops to Open in Loveland: A project that was announced in the summer of 2023, bringing a Bass Pro Shops to northwest Loveland, should see the doors open in the spring of 2026.
- Children’s Museum of Northern Colorado to Open: A project that first began in 2015, should reach completion in late 2026, with The Yards becoming home to the Children’s Museum of Northern Colorado.
- Downtown Loveland’s 4th Street Project Will Finish: In February of 2025, the City of Loveland began a major renovation project for 5 blocks of 4th Street, replacing aging infrastructure and revamping sidewalks. The project should finally be concluded, hopefully, by the summer of 2026.
- The 104th Greeley Stampede: Beginning June 23, and concluding Sunday, July 5, 2026, Greeley Stampede is one of Northern Colorado’s biggest events full of rodeos, concerts and more.
- Former Pinocchios to Open as Savina’s: It was in the summer of 2025, that renovations began on the former Pinocchios in Loveland; by the summer of 2026, it will be the first Savina’s Mexican Kitchen for Northern Colorado.
