CPW says staff were threatened after killing mountain lions

Colorado Parks and Wildlife says its staff received threats after killing two mountain lions the agency said fatally attacked a Fort Collins woman Jan. 1 near Glen Haven.

Laura Clellan, the agency’s acting director, did not elaborate on what the threats entailed when addressing the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission at its Jan. 14 meeting during the director’s comment period.

“Following this incidence, anonymous threats have been directed at Colorado Parks and Wildlife staff,” Clellan said. “And we received a number of emails questioning this management action.”…
