With extremely cold temperatures expected overnight Jan. 25 into the morning of Jan. 26, multiple school districts in Larimer County will operate on a delayed schedule and one school announced a closure.
While the forecast high in the Fort Collins area on Jan. 26 is in the 40s, according to the National Weather Service, a cold weather advisory is in effect for the northern Interstate 25 corridor from midnight until 9 a.m. Jan. 26. That advisory, which specifically mentions Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley, warns of “dangerously cold wind chills as low as 16 below zero.”
