The Fort Collins Food Co-op is closing its longtime location in anticipation of its big move down Mountain Avenue.
The co-op’s last day at its longtime 250 E. Mountain Ave. location will be Jan. 29, according to a sign posted in its door. It is planning to softly reopen in Fort Collins’ former Beavers Market building, 1100 W. Mountain Ave., in early to mid-February, general manager Manasseh Brockus told the Coloradoan during a tour of the new location Jan. 26.
The co-op’s new location was the longtime home of neighborhood grocery store Beavers Market, which was sold to the Fresh Foods regional grocery chain in 2021 and later renamed.
