State agencies coordinating response to pipeline leak near Fort Lupton

FORT LUPTON, Colo. — State agencies are coordinating a response to pipeline-related gas leak near Fort Lupton, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).

CDPHE said the gas leak has been identified just north of Fort Lupton in Weld County. It was found following air quality monitoring conducted near Weld County Road 20.

“Based on initial monitoring and response actions, state agencies believe they have likely identified the source of the emissions, with ongoing monitoring underway to confirm,” the press release says. “The State notified local emergency services, and emergency services did not identify any immediate safety action needed.”…
