LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened early Sunday morning.
Just after 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, a LCSO deputy noticed a vehicle that was missing lights and a license plate, according to a media release. The deputy turned around to stop the car near East 57th Street and North Garfield Avenue in Loveland. However, the driver turned off all the vehicle’s lights and sped away before the deputy could initiate a traffic stop.
The deputy activated his lights and sirens, but the suspect refused to stop and eluded law enforcement for several miles, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies pursued as the driver traveled at speeds up to 120 mph on northbound Interstate 25.
