On Tuesday afternoon, a quiet stretch near the 2600 block of N. Monroe Avenue in Loveland briefly turned into a tactical scene as police and SWAT moved in on a suspect. By the time the dust settled, the person at the center of the response was in custody, no shelter-in-place order was active, and officers were telling nearby residents there was no ongoing threat to the community. People in the area were still urged to steer clear while the scene was secured and cleared.
