DENVER (KDVR) — Scammers are reportedly impersonating Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke, according to a press release from the Nineteenth Judicial District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday afternoon.
The office urged the public to be on alert for any spoof text messages that ask recipients to purchase or provide gift cards.

“District Attorney Michael Rourke will never request gift cards, money, or personal information through text messages, emails, or social media,” said the district attorney’s office in the press release.
