GREELEY, Colo. — A man accused of shooting into a Greeley bar in 2024 has been found guilty on all counts by a jury.
On Friday, 33-year-old Jimmy Cazares was found guilty of:
- Two counts of attempted first-degree murder after deliberation
- Two counts of attempted first-degree murder with extreme difference
- Criminal mischief causing damages of more than $20,000 but not more than $100,000
- Five other charges related to weapons and controlled substances
At 2:26 a.m. on Nov. 20, 2024, Greeley Police Department officers responded to a shooting at Wyler’s Pub and Grill. Several officers responded to the scene and found multiple shell casings on the ground and bullet holes in the business’s front door, Greeley Police said at the time. The suspect, later identified as Cazares, fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers.
Officers entered the business and located one victim, Leah Neugebauer, who was the general manager of the bar, suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers performed life-saving measures, called emergency medical personnel and carried her to the ambulance when it arrived.
