IKEA is Officially Coming to Northern Colorado

I have always been a fan of the Scandinavian-style furniture that IKEA offers. There is just something about the clean, simple lines that draws me to the style. Also, there is something therapeutic about building a dresser that I really enjoy, too.

The Closest IKEA to Northern Colorado

The closest IKEA to Northern Colorado is located in Centennial, which is quite the road trip to meander aimlessly through the maze known as IKEA. Soon, Northern Coloradans will not have to make a nearly 80-mile one-way drive to peruse Scandinavian-style furniture and decor.

IKEA has announced its ever-expanding footprint in the United States and will be opening four additional stores, bringing the total to 10 new stores across the nation in 2026. Chicago, Illinois, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Los Angeles, California, and Fort Collins, Colorado will join the ranks of new locations with Huntsville, Alabama, two stores in Dallas, Texas, Phoenix, Arizona, Washington D.C, and Houston, Texas.

The Fort Collins IKEA store will be located in the Front Range Village Shopping Center, at the former Urban Air Trampoline Park, which used to be at 4250 Corbett Drive. Fort Collins IKEA fans should curb their expectations for a massive location, as the Northern Colorado IKEA will be approximately six times smaller than the Centennial location.

Store Size and Offerings at IKEA Fort Collins

The Fort Collins IKEA will be 64,000 square feet of shopping bliss and will offer 3,200 items available for in-store purchases, plus 250 small furniture items. If the Food Court at IKEA calls your name every time you visit, there is good news: the Fort Collins location will also sell meatballs, hot dogs, veggie dogs, and cinnamon buns…
