The Boulder County sheriff’s deputy arrested after being accused of punching his wife has resigned from the sheriff’s office, according to the Colorado Attorney General’s Office.
Peter Carlos Markusen, 40, resigned his position as of Wednesday, according to the Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training, a unit of the Attorney General’s Office that tracks law enforcement certifications. Markusen resigned while under investigation, according to the website.
