Witnesses sought in road rage shooting that closed north I-25 Feb. 21

Investigators are looking for witnesses to a road rage shooting that shut down Interstate 25 on Feb. 21.

The road rage disagreement is believed to have started between a white Toyota 4-Runner and a black GMC pickup truck on northbound I-25 in north Thornton the night of Feb. 21, according to the Johnstown Police Department. The road rage behavior continued on I-25 until the vehicles reached the I-25 and Highway 60 interchange in Johnstown, where multiple shots were fired into the pickup truck.

No one was injured. The shooting suspect, identified as 27-year-old Genesis Lucius, fled the shooting scene and was arrested in Loveland about 5 miles away from I-25 on multiple charges, including attempted second-degree murder, menacing and DUI, according to Johnstown police…
