During the Summer Olympics two years ago, the activities and therapy teams at Good Samaritan Society – Loveland Village hosted an Olympic games of their own where residents vied for fame, glory and … Milano bars.
This year the competition made its return to the Loveland, CO, campus for the Winter Olympics and the sequel did not disappoint.
“We wanted to make sure we were doing things that were fun and unique. We wanted to make sure it was something maybe people would get really excited about,” Julie Hoponick, supervisor of therapy and rehabilitation, told McKnight’s Long-Term Care News. “Our big focus [in our meetings] this time was how we were going to do [the events], how we were going to keep people safe and how we were going to adapt it.
