Kristie Skala, Aims Community College’s professor of Emergency Medical and Paramedic Services, was honored as the 2025 EMS Instructor of the Year by the Northeast Colorado Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Advisory Council.
Skala was honored at the council’s Annual Awards ceremony Feb. 17 at the Thompson Valley EMS Headquarters in Loveland.
The annual award recognizes an EMS educator who demonstrates excellence in teaching, mentorship, and the ability to inspire learners in Northeast Colorado, according to officials.
Skala has years of field and instructional experience in Loveland. She began her career teaching fitness and health courses before pursuing EMS education. She was instrumental in expanding the Aims Paramedic program and collaborating with regional partners to expand training opportunities…
