Bistro Nautile co-owner defends chef after arrest

A Fort Collins restaurateur is speaking out in support of one of her business partners in the wake of his Feb. 16 arrest.

Damasky was arrested after Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of assault in the 1800 block of Kedron Circle in northeast Fort Collins in the early morning hours of Feb. 16.

The suspect was inside the home, while the victim was outside. The suspect would not respond to commands to come out, sheriff’s office spokesperson Kate Kimble previously told the Coloradoan. The incident prompted a response from LCSO’s SWAT team, or All Hazards Crisis Response Team, and a message from LETA — Larimer County’s emergency alert system — was sent out at 2:56 a.m. Feb. 16, warning nearby residents of police activity in the area and asking them to stay inside their homes…
