Firefighters on Monday afternoon contained a controlled burn that escaped containment on a property southeast of Longmont.
Mountain View Fire Rescue personnel responded after a homeowner called to report their controlled burn had escaped containment when the winds picked up, according to a post to the department’s Facebook page. The property is near the intersection of Quail Road and 119th Street, which lies just outside of Longmont.
Crews limited the spread to less than 2 acres, according to the post. No injuries were reported, and no structures were threatened or damaged…
