GREELEY, Colo. (KKTV) – U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced Monday the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) had greenlit Aims Community College in Greeley as the next school to put in the Enhanced Air Traffic – Collegiate Training Initiative (E-CTI).
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation in a press release, students who pass the E-CTI program can apply to become a traffic controller, skipping the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City.
“This partnership with Aims Community College in Greeley creates another strong pipeline to bring new air traffic controllers into the FAA,” FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford said. “By expanding opportunities here in Colorado, we’re advancing our mission to strengthen the controller workforce and keep the flying public safe.”…
