The Longmont City Council is expected to vote Tuesday on two agreements to help build a Front Range Community College campus and a new regional transit hub in the area of First Avenue and Main Street, according to a Friday evening city news release. The roughly 6-acre site sits off Main Street between First and Boston avenues.
According to the release, approval of the two agreements would mark “the first formal steps toward one of the largest downtown investments in Longmont’s history.”
One of the potential agreements is a “Phase 1” intergovernmental agreement with Front Range Community College. It would pay for a facility master plan and academic program plan exploring a “permanent downtown campus,” the release says…
