A 36-year-old Longmont man was arrested Monday on 10 felony counts tied to alleged possession of child sexual abuse material, according to Boulder County authorities.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said Thomas Daniel Merritt was booked into the Boulder County Jail on March 9 on an arrest warrant after an investigation led by the Boulder County Digital Forensics Lab, which is affiliated with the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received information about possible child sexual abuse material being stored on a cloud platform.
