WELD COUNTY, Colo. — The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is seeking tips on an unidentified female’s remains from 2022.
On April 27, 2022, WCSO detectives responded to the 3300 block of First Avenue in unincorporated Weld County regarding a death investigation, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office. Prior to the discovery of the woman’s remains, this was an unimproved wooded area.
Detectives contacted the caller, an unhoused woman, who had discovered the skeletonized remains, WCSO said. The remains were later sent to a forensic anthropologist who determined the woman was 30 to 58 years old and white. The woman was between 5-feet, 2-inches and 5-feet, 6-inches tall, and had given birth to at least one child, the sheriff’s said…
