Police seek former Greeley staff member for alleged abuse of 13-year-old student

DENVER (KDVR) — Police are actively searching for a former Greeley-Evans School District 6 staff member accused of continually abusing a 13-year-old student.

The Greeley Police Department said an investigation found Brenda Meza, 34, repeatedly sexually abused the student for several months. She is wanted on several felony charges and attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful, according to police.

In a letter sent to Franklin Middle School families, where Meza worked, Dr. Suzette Luster, the school’s principal, said Greeley police investigators believe Meza has fled the state to avoid prosecution…
