Weld County DA says ICE arrests are preventing dozens of criminal cases from going to trial

GREELEY, Colo. — Dozens of criminal cases in Weld County may never go to trial because defendants have been taken into federal immigration custody before their cases resolve, according to Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke.

“I am frustrated with how quickly that process is occurring,” Rourke said.
