SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — One of the country’s largest beef processing plants is undergoing a strike, which could have local impacts to cattle producers.
About 3,800 workers at the Swift Beef Co. plant in Greeley, Colorado began Monday morning in what union representatives said is the first walkout at a U.S. beef slaughterhouse since the 1980s, the Associated Press reported.
