Loveland Fire Chief Tim Sendelbach departs after board agreement

The Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Board has unanimously approved a joint separation agreement with Fire Chief Tim Sendelbach, ending his tenure with the department. The decision came during a special virtual meeting following weeks of deliberation after Sendelbach was placed on administrative leave in late January.

Sendelbach said the separation was amicable and that he was not terminated, though he had received a notice of intent to terminate earlier in the process. Assistant Chief Greg Ward continues to serve as acting chief while the board begins the search for a new leader—a process expected to take about four months
