Fort Collins Bakery Will Close For Good This Summer

There is one thing that we simply cannot avoid as humans: Change. Whether we like it or not, things change, life changes, and places we’ve come to love go away. Sadly, this seems to have been the norm over the years in Northern Colorado, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Fort Collins bakery that opened up in 2022 has been serving pastries inspired by Central European Czech settlers for a few years. You might have heard of kolaches, and the place to get them in the Choice City has been the Colorado Kolache Company in Midtown.

The Colorado Kolache Company announced on Facebook on Friday, March 20, that the doors to the bakery will close for good this summer.

Why Colorado Kolache Company Is Closing

With a heavy heart, we’re announcing that we will be closing Colorado Kolache this July. Between a significant rent increase and the impact of construction over the past year, we are no longer able to continue.
