Loveland Police and the city’s SWAT team rolled into the area of W. 65th Street and San Isabel Avenue on Wednesday for a planned search-warrant operation, briefly turning a routine weekday into something that looked a lot more like a TV crime drama. While officers worked the scene, the department warned neighbors they might notice a heavy police presence but stressed that the community was safe throughout the operation.
In a public advisory posted to social media, the Loveland Police Department said officers had executed and completed a planned search warrant in the W. 65th and San Isabel area and noted that residents could still see a visible police presence as the investigation wrapped up, according to the Loveland Police Department. According to the advisory, the activity was the execution and completion of a pre-planned search warrant in that neighborhood. Officials told residents there was no ongoing threat to public safety and asked people to steer clear of the immediate area while officers finished their work.
