Speeders To Be Hit With Fines Between Mead, Berthoud

Drivers caught speeding through a construction zone on Interstate 25 between Mead and Berthoud will automatically receive a $75 fine in the mail beginning Thursday as part of the Colorado Speed Enforcement Program. The Greeley Tribune reports the $75 fine is a civil penalty and the statute applies to drivers detected driving up to 24 mph above the posted speed limit in the I-25 North Express Lanes work zone.
