LOVELAND, Colo. (KDVR) — It’s the kind of history lesson you can’t find in a textbook.
Veterans who served in the Vietnam War returned to their high school alma mater Thursday, to share their war stories with a captivated crowd of current students at Loveland High School.

“We contacted a bunch of the Loveland High alumni, mainly from the class of 1965, after they had a reunion, and we’ve been growing ever since,” said Harold “AJ” Johnson, a former teacher in the district who helps organize the living history seminar for social studies students every year.
