If it comes to fruition, it would be amazing to know that the Loveland-Johnstown area was first in Colorado and the nation to have an actual On the Hook Fish & Chips restaurant.
What Indicates The Johnstown is Getting a Brick-and-Mortar ‘On the Hook?’
In early April of 2026, I was alerted to the fact that there was a On the Hook banner hanging in the front window of a empty space in the 2534 business area, “near Chicken Salad Chick.” I rushed out to verify for myself, and yes, there it was. An upside-down On the Hook banner; that struck me as odd, but there was more.
Also in the front window of the space was a Larimer Fire Rescue fire sprinkler permit; on it, it listed the project name as “On the Hook Fish & Chips.” Also on the permit, it listed the Business Name: “Off the Hook Restaurant.”
Having the banner upside-down, might be their way of saying something’s going on; like a ship flying its flag upside down. It could very well be that this place will be called “On the Hook’s Off the Hook,” or something like that…
