FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The 1960s-era car dealership at the corner of South College Avenue and Drake Road in Fort Collins is only a memory now, with piles of rubble soon to be carried away.
Only remnants of the old dealership’s vehicle bays still stood on the morning of April 6, when workers resumed activity on the site for the day.
An abandoned, black Mazda crossover SUV with no tires still sat on the site. Before the dealership was closed and demolished, it had been selling Mazdas. The demolition has now wiped away 60 years of its modern history…
