FREDERICK, Colo. (KDVR) — They have the idea, the location and the design. Now, the Weld County Flight 629 Memorial team just needs donations to help honor those killed in a history-making plane crash more than 70 years ago, and the first responders who tried to help them.
“We really need to share this story to learn from it. That’s what we learn from our history,” said Jeremy Young, fire chief for the Frederick-Firestone Fire District.
