The Town of Berthoud has joined the Hometown Heroes Banner Program to make a highly visible statement of gratitude to the sacrifices made by Berthoud’s veterans, active-duty service members and their families. Each banner will include a photograph of the service member along with their name, rank, title and branch of service.
“The Hometown Heroes Banner Program is a powerful way for our community to come together and honor those who have served,” Chris Kirk, Berthoud’s town administrator, said. “These banners not only recognize individual service members but also remind us of the sacrifices made on behalf of our country.”
The banners will hang throughout Berthoud, on public streetlight poles, from approximately Memorial Day in May to approximately Veterans Day in November. The banners will be given to the family after they are taken down…
