Loveland officer catches driver going nearly 50 mph over limit

DENVER (KDVR) — A Loveland police officer caught a driver speeding nearly 50 miles per hour over the speed limit, according to a post on X from the Loveland Police Department on Tuesday.

The driver was caught going 84 mph in a 35-mph zone.

“Unless your car doubles as a DeLorean time machine pushing for 88 mph, no valid reason exists for that speed in a residential neighborhood,” said the department in the post.

An unmarked unit was working a traffic detail in the area around Wilson Avenue and 43rd Street. The officer said the driver “flew by” before the officer was able to catch up later…
